VAST AI Brand Portal
A Brand That Ships as Software
01
About the project
Every company runs on small design requests that look the same each time: a business card, a partner lockup, a Zoom background, a headshot. We turned the VAST brand into software, so the people who need these make them on their own, on brand. The whole team ships faster, and the design team gets its time back for strategic work. We built the brand libraries in Figma, made Frontify the single source of truth, and put nine web tools on top of it that anyone at the company opens with a work account. What people make comes back to design: a designer reviews it in Figma, and approved work goes to its author and into the libraries. The nine tools here are examples. The same approach works for almost any design task that repeats.
02
Brand libraries
We built four libraries in Figma: logos, icons, images and tags. Every component carries its properties in its name, so a logo variant states its company, type, color, country and industry. Frontify publishes the assets under the same names, and the tools filter by them.
03
Brand tools, in one place
The hub opens nine tools. Each is a Google Apps Script web app behind the company SSO, so a work account is the whole setup and there is nothing to install. The tools that hand out assets read from Frontify, and a change in the library reaches them without a new release. A new tool joins the hub with one config entry and a cover image.
04
VASTronaut Generator
The VAST mascot in any scene, holding a sign with your headline. The brief is checked against brand rules before generation, and the image is checked again for flags, emblems and third-party logos. You get a preview marked “not approved yet”, and a designer reviews every image in Figma: Approve emails you the full-size PNG, Reject comes with a reason.
05
Zoom Backgrounds
A Zoom background with your name and title. Search 201 backgrounds from the Frontify Images library and watch the text render on top as you type. You download two PNGs: the normal one, and a mirrored one for people who keep Zoom’s “Mirror my video” on, so the text reads correctly in their own view.
06
Business Cards
Print-ready business cards as vector PDF with bleed, in CMYK, with the VAST or VAST Federal logo, in five national sizes: US/Canada, Europe, Japan, China and Australia/NZ. Autofill takes your name and email from the work account, and a CSV or XLSX of up to 50 people comes back as a ZIP. Each card gets a QR code made from your details: point a phone at it, and the contact saves straight to the address book.
07
VAST Avatar Studio
A corporate avatar from any selfie or a camera shot, on the two brand backgrounds: Light #E1E2E8 and Navy #0F2042. The prompt keeps the person’s features and removes prints and logos from clothing.
08
VAST Co-brand Lockups
VAST plus up to three partners, picked from 750+ companies in Frontify. Color, Dark or White, Horizontal or Stacked, exported as SVG or as PNG in preset sizes. A partner missing from the library can be uploaded as an SVG: the lockup scales it to the library padding, and the file goes to design. A designer imports it into Figma and approves it, and the logo joins the library.
09
VAST Live Logo Lockup
Social cards and covers for VAST Live, the event brand. Every event brings a run of partner announcements, and each one used to be a design request. Now anyone picks the partner from Frontify or uploads an SVG, and the tool sets the lockup on the event background in dark and light, in three formats: a 1920 × 1080 cover, 1440 × 810 and a 1080 × 1080 social card. All six files download in one ZIP, ready to post.
10
VAST Icon Finder
2,000+ ready icons, all on the VAST grid at a 1.2 stroke: download an SVG in navy or white, or copy it straight into Figma. If nothing fits, the tool builds a new one: it drafts the icon from an openly licensed line reference and sets it on the grid. A designer reviews the draft in Figma, and you get an email either way, with the SVG attached once it is approved.
11
Email Signature Generator
A signature with a live preview and a one-click install into Gmail. Type a phone number any way you like: it is formatted the way that country writes numbers, and a leading + picks the country by itself. Outlook users get their own install steps.
12
VAST Slide Finder
Search the 648 slides of the Slide Library and build your own deck as Google Slides or a .pptx. NDA and internal slides are flagged on the tile, and the tool asks again before either goes into a deck.
13
How the whole cycle works
It starts in Figma, where the libraries live. Frontify publishes them, and every tool takes its assets from there, so a change in Figma reaches all nine tools. People make what they need, and what needs a check goes to a designer, who reviews it in Figma. Approved work returns to its author and joins the libraries, and the next person already finds it in the tools.
Tools for designers, inside Figma
The same approach works for the design team itself. Plugins built right into Figma take over the slow, exact parts of library work, so designers spend their time on decisions.
14
Library Builder
Measures a new logo with scanlines, sets its letters in the 24 px band, builds six variants (Dark, White and Color in two alignments) and appends the row to the library with its label. It refuses commas in names and checks Horizontal or Stacked against the proportions.
15
Wall Builder
A logo wall for any frame, from a plain list of company names. The plugin fuzzy-matches each name against the 750+ companies in the library, then sets the logos in justified rows or a grid, sized optically and spaced with equal gaps. It laid out the logo walls on the booth graphics for CIVO Navigate, NATO Edge and Ray Summit.
